I am looking for help on Dahlquist PDQ 637 speaker problems:
1 On all three speakers (tweeter, midrange, and woofer), there are two connectors, one is fatter than the other. Is the fatter one positive? 2. If the above is true, does that mean the tweeter negative connects with the midrange negative? I do not have the crossover schematics for this model. |

without the schematic, it would be reasonable to assume that the fatter connector is consistent on each driver. which terminal is positive or negative isnt really important as long as your connections are the same so that the drivers operate in phase with each other.
i dont know how you would do a polarity check without simply hooking everything up and see how it sounds. if all the drivers are in phase it should sound "right". dirvers that are out of phase will sound "off" and muffled. you wont cause any harm by hooking them up out of phase. -------------------- Teledyne AR9, Yamaha B-2x, Yamaha M-2, Yamaha C-2a, EAD DSP 1000, Squeezebox v3, Wadia WT-3200.
