QUOTE (Charivari @ February 25, 2007 05:39 pm)
Unfortunately, I'll likely be coming in too late to help initially load the '10000s, but I can help unload, reload, and unload them again. I nominate Scott for the first time.

How about a more up to date roll call? Who's planning on attending and whatchya bringin'?

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I'll be there with my Kenwood KR-1000 Galaxy Commander (probably won't run it so y'all won't feel bad about how your own systems are no match for it), maybe a few small things to possibly trade (WE 100E, Pioneer DT-400, possibly the AR-1), a smattering of albums representative of my incredible taste in music, and my Infinity Quantum 2s (biampable). I don't know if the Tannoys will put in an appearance or not.

The planned demonstration system is Mark B's incredible Yamaha Centennial Edition (CX-10000, CDX-10000, and MX-100000) powering my Quantum 2s. I'm really looking forward to hearing what this combination can do -- first time the potential point of failure is the speakers rather than the amp. Mike's Sony Scenario S7 CD player might find its way in there too.

I will be there and I know at least 5 other people from the AK forum that will be attending and I'm sure more.

With stuff to trade and sell and maybe a buck or two to spend. I will have at least a put together system to hear. The SHRINE can't travel LOL

I just pulled the Quantum 2s out of subwoofer duty to make sure everything's still working. I threw them on the Galaxy Commander on a whim and, whoa, they sound much better than I remember (and that Kenwood sounds surprisingly good on them). I can't wait to hear them on Mark's gear. I just hope my haphazard repairs on the midrange drivers will hold with much power.

I'm seriously thinking about going. But I've got a LOT on my agenda at the moment, so this will not be easy for me to pull off.

How many of you guys will be there? I'd be really ticked if I wasted the day making the trek down there, only to encounter a handful of people.
